Method
If You’re Using a Juicer:
- Wash and prep all your produce.
- Feed the beets, carrots, apple, pineapple and lemon through your juicer.
- Stir the juice and taste — adjust with more lemon or apple if you want it brighter or sweeter.
- Pour into glasses and serve over ice, or chill before drinking.
If You’re Using a Blender:
- Add chopped beets, carrots, apple, pineapple and lemon to your blender with the cold water.
- Blend until completely smooth.
- Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl or large glass.
- Press or squeeze to extract as much juice as possible. Discard (or compost) the pulp.
- Chill and enjoy immediately for best flavor and nutrients.
Notes
- Balance the sweetness
Apple and pineapple naturally sweeten the juice—adjust amounts based on your preference. - Lemon brightens everything
Don’t skip the lemon—it enhances flavor and balances the earthiness of the beets. - Juicer vs blender
A juicer gives you a smoother, pulp-free juice, while a blender creates a thicker, fiber-rich version (just strain if desired). - Straining tip (blender method)
Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth and press firmly to extract as much liquid as possible. - Serve chilled for best flavor
Beet juice tastes best cold—serve over ice or chill before drinking. - Drink fresh
For maximum nutrients and best taste, enjoy immediately after making.
